The answer is yes. However, this will cost time, not save it.

It is not clear to me just who is the fiance. Are both parties already in the USA? If so, wouldn't they both go back to Egypt to get married? The'll marry sooner if they go to Egypt to marry. The fiance will have a visa sooner if they let the K1 continue.

For example, let's say they filed the K1 petition April 1. It's moving right along at a snail's pace but they decide to go to Egypt and marry May 15. The US Citizen then returns to the States and files an I-130, say May 30th, waits for NOA1 and files the I-129F for K3 about June 15. They've lost the time between April 1 and June 15.

What is the priority? Is it early marriage or being together in the USA together permanently?

Except that getting a K-3 or CR-1 out of Cairo might be difficult if you aren't already married!!! Notice this latest info posted on the consuls website regarding getting married in Egypt!!! The Egyptian government is apparently having a problem with the paper that is given out by the U.S. to prove that the USC is eligible to get married:

Melly posted this link last night in the ME/NA forum, but the updates on the website are dated from April 10, 2007.
