My fiance and I are starting to get a bit overwhelmed looking at all the needed paperwork. We continue to read about applications that have been rejected because one part was not filled out correctly. I continue to read through the guides and advice about the application process, however, has anyone used one of the sites to have someone proofread your application before submission? We do not wish to waste money, but we also do not want delays in our application due to our own errors.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You'll still need to gather your own documents even if you are paying for such service. So if you're able to, try to DIY. It is not that complicated if you break down the things that are needed for each filing and stage to ensure that you have all the required forms, supporting documents and proofs.

As for proofreading forms and documents, frankly, you just need to spend some extra time go through line by line a few times to ensure everything is filled and checked. Have a close friend or family member proofread if you need a second set or fresh eyes to look at things.

Also, VJ is a great resource so ask any questions you might have before filing. You can confirm what's needed and what's not and people will be able to advise you accordingly :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

As said in the post above, you can use VisaJourney as your main reference and file with little to no problems. I also wanted to add that applications are rarely flat out rejected because of minor problems, rather the petitioner is typically sent a letter asking for additional documentation (RFE). This slows down the process by a few weeks, but overall the K1 process is still fairly quick compared to other visa types.

My fiance (now husband) is from Morocco as well and we filled all of the paperwork ourselves, with no issues. He just arrived on the K1 visa in July. It is very doable with the help of VisaJourney!

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the
