Something odd going on

Allright so my timeline is in my description but here is my AOS:

 

March 10 filed for AOS

April 10 RFE

April 21 Biometrics 

Respond to RFE June 20 (approximately, can't check)

AOS status changed to received June 27

 

So today I found out I had 3 different numbers I could check. I had no clue, I thought it was only 1 number for all the things so I didnt even bother checking the other numbers if they were the same. So I checked and appereantly my AP has been approved on april 21 (same day as my biometrics???) While my EAD still says documents received and the case is been open for 126 days now. 

 

So I called them and they made a service request for my EAD, and I have to request new AP papers because I never received them.

 

What is going on here, I find it very veeery odd my AP was approved on the day I had my biometrics (so only a month after I applied), but my EAD has not even be touched. I thought I had to wait longer because of my RFE but why would they approve my AP then, on the same day as my biometrics? So now I have a service request pending, does anyone know how long it can take? Isnt this a strange thing? Did this happen to anyone else? I am so confused lol

Sometimes AP and EAD aren't approved at the same time even if you send them in together. It doesn't seem to happen often at all and usually you would get a combo card. However, I remember at least one case in the December filers thread where they were approved on different dates and sent as two different documents instead of a combo card. 

 

The AP doesn't require any biometrics, maybe that's why it was approved so fast. They must've missed you also had an EAD application pending.

That could definitely be it, I just find it odd that it was on the exact same date as my biometrics and that I received a RFE right before that. Which probably caused to pause my EAD but why not my AP? And why did I never receive my AP, while I received everything else in perfect order (noa's, biometric appointment, RFE). I just feel like something weird is going on.

Perhaps scheduling an

infopass appointment you can get a definitive answer
