K-1 and traveling to foreign fiance upon issuance of visa?

Just waiting for the visa from the embassy (at fiance's interview in Montreal, they denied his visa due to online-obtained police certificate and lack of my "original" divorce decree).  We have since sent the certified copies of the requested documents + my fiance's visa to the embassy per their instructions, and are now awaiting receipt of notification that the visa has been processed and is on its way (hoping this happens very, very soon -- our August 3 wedding date is already completely nixed as a result of the extra wait).

My question is this: When my fiance receives his visa and is ready to travel to the U.S., will there be any reason why I cannot enter Canada as his fiance to meet his family and return with him to the U.S. (since he'll have his visa)?  I don't want to make expensive travel plans once he gets the visa only to find out there's some limitation about me going to Canada to travel back to the U.S. with him.

You should be able to enter Canada without a problem as a tourist :) His K-1 visa has nothing to do with Canadian immigration.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

If you don't have a criminal history, never violated status before, haven't spent too much time in Canada, etc., then I wouldn't expect you to have any issues (just like any other USC visiting Canada). The K-1 won't have any impact on the process visiting Canada.

You'll have no issues! My fiancé will be doing the same thing. He comes to Canada regularly and we both have Nexus (trusted traveller program), BUT since he's submitted the I-129F application he's been sent to secondary. Canadian Customs can't figure out if the K1 visa is flagging him or an expired work permit. Its only caused him a 5 minute delay and customs was very nice.

Make sure to have a copy of your return ticket if your worried. That will show customs intent on leaving Canada.

Good luck!

Thank you all for your responses!

I guess I'm just a little paranoid given the multiple delays we've experienced, so I suppose I'm just expecting the worst now.  The experience has been quite discouraging!  Though there's no reason for Canada to stop me (no negative history, overstay, criminal record, etc.), I just wasn't sure if the mere existence of the I-129F would somehow flag me at Customs.
