Hi all

I am currently filling out my i-130 on behalf of my dad (as hes very lacksi-daisy and prob take just aas long as the whole process for him to fill it out)

facts of the doc so far

  • my dad is on my birth cert unmarried to my mum
  • he was a brit >>>  then GC holder through marriage >>> US Cit >>> divorced >>> married a different US cit
  • im 37 unmarried, son
  • he earns over the 125% money threshold

My questions are

  1. what documents do i need from him to file the application?
  2. When do i pay the money?
  3. where do i send it all to?

I have a worry that i need to prove he has involvement in my life as a parent, which he hasn't really.

I did illegally live with him when i was 13 and 17 and went to school in the USA, but he did not do any legal filings for me. So on my form im currently putting ive not been in America. I dont know what to do.

If you read the guides, that will help you with your questions.   The USCIS website will tell what address to use to file your forms.

Do not lie on any paperwork or in any interview, that can cost you any future  you may have a chance to have in the US.

All they have to do is look you up in the system (you have school records here) and you can receive a lifetime ban for misrepresentation if you do not disclose the truth.

Exactly. Never lie to immigration. It will not end well. While you were a minor you did not accrue unlawful presence anyway. If you illegally stayed at least 180 days after turning 18, then there will be a ban for the overstay.

Schools do not need any immigration information for enrollment.  But the school system will have records of when you attended.
