Hi, it's almost the date of our interview and I'm organizing everything for that day. It happens that the son of my husband stays with us during that week and I'm wondering whether we can bring him with us. I did a search on this website to see if there were people in the same situation before. But didn't find any besides AOS for stepchildren. He is a us citizen and a minor.

We rather bring him with us but we don't want to be send away or something like that.

No you cannot. The Amsterdam consulate only allows in people with appointments or American citizens needing assistance. They do not allow visitors.

They might make an exception being he is a minor. But unless he was requested to be present or it specifically states in the invite you can bring him, I would not recommend bringing him.

He/She is doing AOS which means they are stateside and not in Amsterdam. Most if not all field offices will let you take a minor child to interview.

Thanks guys/gals for the input, he is staying with his Gigi that day. Bringing three very active and enthusiastic kids with us to such a formal interview seemed somewhat stressful. We figured out it would be boring for him to sit there and behave for more then two hours.
