I think we just need more UK folks that have been through this recently to chime in. I think ready means ready, but I am asking just to make sure.

Just book your appointment if you have already done the other steps. You'll either get an appointment or it will say something like your number isn't found or is invalid. Then try again next day or two if not successful. Nothing bad will happen to you. There is no naughty chair they put you in.

I selected the K1 option with no letter yet received, I have my interview on Tues (the 11th!), and I still don't have it. So, unless it arrives on Monday or early on Tuesday morning, I'll be proceeding without it, so fingers crossed it is not necessary and I will still be allowed in/approved!! I will let you know what happens either way.

AOS, EAD, AP Filed Concurrently: 01-22-2018
NOA1 Date: 02-08-2018
RFIE Received: 02-26-2018

Bio. Appt.: 03-06-2018

RFIE Evidence Received: 03-21-2018

EAD Received: 07-13-2018 (no AP as USCIS never filed it for some reason)

You don't need the letter for the interview. You show your appointment confirmation. Reasons for getting the letter:

  • you get your new case number
  • to show at the medical
  • to know where to find the K1 instructions
  • get a copy of the approved petition

There are other ways to do those things, except seeing the approved petition so you can find out your fiancé has six kids and three ex-wives.😂

Thanks, Is it required from the medical?

They will accept anything that shows your case number. Screenshot of Ceac case status. Scan of letter from NVC to petitioner showing new  number.

Procedures  have changed bit by bit toward more online since I did a K1, but if you read the experiences posted here about London, you learn the new patterns. When thirty people say "they accepted my CEAC screen shot, then you figure that works."  When four hundred people say "they didn't want to see my relationship stuff or photo albums at the interview" I see a pattern. But most still lug a ton of extras to the interview thinking they will be the first in ten years to need their chat log printouts.

My interview was today, I never received the letter, but as Wuozopo said, it wasn't needed (though they asked for it 3 times!!). Here's a link to my full London interview review/experience: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=22126

Sorry about the medical thing! We put a 11-day gap (7 business days). I hope it's enough

Thanks, it sucks, but they said it was unusual, so that should definitely be enough time barring any issues!!
