It's interesting because when I just googled "paid protesters" or something like that, the event that seemed to have the most evidence was for Trump's campaign announcement event (the one where he travelled down an escalator). An article interviewed someone who worked for the group he hired to "organize" the event, which paid actors to attend.

 

The huffpost article is actually quite interesting, but has nothing to do with paid political protesters which Trump and his fans have claimed multiple times.

They use Craigslist for those folks.

The HuffPo article talks about union protesting which by all accounts is also political protesting.

Based on the photos run by the BBC, I can imagine that most cities would not want to be chosen for a G20 summit.
