I'll be filing ROC on Feb 17, 2018, and I was wondering if that would be enough time to have taxes completed and a transcript in hand? Our tax situation is pretty simple, and we usually just fill it out w/ TurboTax online. If it's not enough time, does that warrant waiting until we do have the transcript? Husband arrived in 2016, and I filed a single tax return for 2015. We filed jointly for 2016, and I'd like to do the same for 2017.  Perhaps I could just submit a copy of the return if the transcript takes too long to arrive?

We filed for our ROC this year on March 6, so we are a few weeks later than you will be.  However, if I remember correctly, we had our taxes filed immediately and were able to print our 2016 tax transcript online within two weeks.  I'd say you have a good chance of being able to print your tax transcript and send it in.

We actually waited two weeks after our earliest filing date so we COULD get our transcripts.  I know each day we wait seems precious, but do wait long enough, if you can, and try to get the transcripts.
