SF, too hot or humid for an Indian? Hahaha, my last visit Delhi hit 118 F and we had to skip our Rajasthan trip :P

Not sure where in India @Tanish is from though ;)

He's in Frisco TEXAS. ;)   I've never been to India but I grew up in Texas.. Was HOT HOT HOT HOT with summer months never reaching below 100F with highs about 110.. Not sure if I remember reaching 118, def remember 110-115 but not quite 118.....  Best way to describe the North Texas heat.. It's like opening an oven door; that wave of heat that takes over you.. Well it never goes away... Just suffocating. ..

Hahahahaaaa, love this!  SF is my holy grail, so you had me at Frisco!

Yeah, 118 F, no ac...we would shower, dry, get dressed and bam, we were soaking wet again! We just stopped drying -- just showered and put on our clothes. Problem solved!

Yes, oven is exactly what it feels like.

So just wanted to kind of tell our experience. My file was at NVC when I requested expedite for medical reasons, I provided my doctors note and explained my situation in the email I sent to NVCExpedite. Within two days I received an answer- my request was approved. my file reached there within a week and I made an appointment for biometrics and interview. I did not wait for the embassy to reach out, I attempted to call them but they were no help!! My husband had to do his fingerprints on Friday and interview was Monday morning. Biometrics took about 15 minutes. On the day of the interview he was there around 7:30, there was a line already formed, they let them enter around 8:15Am. My husband said the total time of the actual interview was about 10 mins. It was a lady questioning him- she was pleasant. She asked my husband about who was calling him, questions about my employment, where did we meet, she looked at pictures. She asked how we communicate and my husband said via FaceTime, whatsapp, fb, telephone calls. She asked for proof but my husband said sorry I didn't bring it but if u let me bring my phone I can show you. She said no that is fine. At the end of the interview she told my husband that she is issuing a 221g for not having the right PCC. She told him everything else is fine, that he doesn't not have to return for another interview. Told him to get the pcc and drop it off with the passport at the dropboxes. My husband said the interview was really easy, just make sure you have the right PCC!!! We have mailed in the right pcc and passport yesterday and we should be hearing an answer soon :)

Hi everyone.  WOW @JBMG thanks so much for adding this thread.  I am currently waiting at NVC scan date 5/24.. anyway, my husband is from India and we have Mumbai embassy for interview.  I have done the process without a lawyer, and so far (fingers crossed) have not had any rfes.  I will share more if anyone is interested, and if anyone has any questions I will be happy to help anyway I can.  😊

Thank you!! Yes he took everything that you send to NVC- I sent 2016 taxes, pay stubs for 6 months, employment letter from my work. They didn't ask him any questions about it though.

Yes, you only have to send one year. Some people send the previous three years but it is your decision.
