Hi guys,

I'm in process to send required docs to NVC. I completed DS260.

Can I fill Affidavit of Support (I-864EZ) for my wife since I depend on my work? and since my wife is the only person in i-130; shall I put (0) in part 4/1.b ?

Another question is can I send all the documents that needed since my wife still living abroad ?

I dont think you have to put (0) in part 4/1.b. I used the same form and left it blank. Hopefully i dont get a checklisit for this though but i think leaving it blank should be fine because it has counted automatically.

And yes, once you have collected all the documents needed you can send it.

Hi Deda,

I have a quite similar question that you have. Did you fill I864EZ or I864 since. I meet all the requirements-

But I still want to double confirm before I decide.

  1. You filed a Form I-130 petition for your relative;
  2. There is only one applicant on the Form I-130 petition; and
  3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).

I filled I864EZ. It's much easier to fill I864EZ if you meet the all 3 requirements.

HI Deda,

Thank you for quick response. I have one confusion on no. 4)1)d. I have helped somebody as a 1st Joint sponsor, But that person is not lawful permanent resident yet (though is in process). Do I have to mentioned that? Do you have an Idea on this? And what TAX documents you submitted with your I-864EZ ?

You bet!

The question is clear as says that sponsored person is lawful permanent resident. I assume your answer is correct. But you have to be careful if on part 1 section 1.c apply to you or not.

Regarding tax docs. You can request your transcript from IRS and make sure you attach your W2 forms.

Thanks, Deda. The Part 1 section 1.c. doesn't apply for me. We don't have any child yet, And I am sponsoring for my wife.

For Tax docs. Does it requires a transcript from IRS? I was planning to sent them a Client copy of Federal Tax, That I get after I filed the Tax. With my W2 and Pay Stub! Please correct me, If I am doing something wrong.

My pleasure!

You don't have to send your pay stubs.

For Evidence of income: Ask you company or employer to write you an verification letter.

For Tax docs: Get your Transcript from IRS.gov, it's easy;  you can create your account and download your Transcript and record of account for last three years.

You need to send Current Paystubs& Letter- that shows you are employed
