I-130 still at accepted stage

I(USC) sent an I-130 in for my spouse on 11/18/16, it was accepted and I received my letter. Nebraska service center is processing it. I haven't had any case updates and the case status is still at accepted on USCIS website. The last time it was updated was 11/29/16. Is there anyway I can tell if this is stuck or if something is wrong? It is almost 7 months. Thanks

It looks like they are processing early Nov 2016 right now.......You probably have a few more weeks of waiting, unfortunately.

Thanks for that, if something was wrong or missing from my application, would I have been notified by now?

I would call the USCIS if I was you and request them to look into this matter.  According to the USCIS, the normal processing time is 6 months and once the 6 months is over, the applicant can contact them and request an update.  If you submitted your I-130 on 11/18/2016, this means you have almost 7 months.

I checked out the USCIS processing time for NSC and as of 4/30/2017, they are working on applications which were submitted on 10/31/2016.  The site is always behind, so if on 4/30/17 they were working on applications submitted on 10/31/16, then we are 1.5 months passed 4/30 which makes me guess they are working on applications submitted in December 2016.

Call them is my advice

Probably not.  I guess your petition is in a pile waiting for someone to pick it up.  They get an enormous number of I-130s each month.   According to the latest report I've seen, there were more than a million I-130s still pending approval at the end of March 2017.

You don't think she should call since its been 7 months which is longer than the normal processing time?

Other Visa Journey members report that Nebraska is processing Nov 5, 2016.  His date has not been processed yet.

Of course she can call.  But the data appears to indicate that petition is still waiting.  The VJ dates are more accurate than the USCIS published date.....just my opinion.

I get that, but that's the data from the members on the site.  There are lots of people who are not members.  I used to look at that date only if I am within the "normal processing time" which is 6 months.  Once the 6 months passes, I suggest calling them.

BTW, I called them and I am not sure if the officer I spoke to was lying, but she told me the "normal" processing time means nothing.  She told me some people have not heard from the USCIS in 12 and 18 months.  But that officer was too negative, she wouldn't let me speak and when I asked her any question, she never answered me.  So, I am not sure I trust what she told me

If you go to your time line, then plug in your NOA1 date, it will give you an estimated approval date.

I agree the VJ data is real, but I am not saying if all the applicants came to VJ and reported their dates then I would go by it.  But a lot of applicants don't come here.  I think of us (VJ Members) as a Sample of the population.  The entire population is huge and we are only just a small sample.  But like I said, I trust the data here, I just don't know if its the latest

In my case, the VJ estimated date on my timeline was pretty close.

Agree that if all applicants came to VJ, it would be accurate.  If everyone updates their timeline, it should provide a fairly reasonable average....imo

It's at the very bottom of your time line.
