АOS - Certified copy of marriage certificate

Hello everyone.

I read that I need to send in a certified copy of our marriage certificate. What do they mean by certified? Does it have to be notarized? And both of us have to fill out G325A or just my wife?

You need to obtain certified copies of the marriage certificate from your county court house. There is usually a charge for tense. Get several while you are at it. They will have an embossed seal and stamp on them to prove they are real. Both should fill out the 325a.

Only the immigrating spouse needs to complete the G325A, not the USC.

We purchased 2 marriage certifcates and I still have both of them.  Most places accept a photocopy as long as they can view the original.  They did not keep an original or even ask to see it at our AOS interivew.  I wouldn't purchase more than 2.
