AOS without First (of two) Japanese Divorce Certificates? [split topic]

I hope this thread is still active.  I'm married someone and we've decided to submit an AOS petition.  We have all of our documents except one and we're almost ready to submit. The problem being is that the one document that is missing is a divorce decree from my previous marriage to a Japanese national.  I've tried to get a copy of the document in Japan that lists our divorce (listed on family register) but can't get access to the information at all.  My ex-wife is also not to be found and without her direct permission its unobtainable in Japan.  I was subsequently married and again divorced to another Japanese and I have that paperwork but not from my first Japanese wife.  What happens if I submit my paperwork without this one document?  Is there any way they will overlook it because to enter into the 2nd marriage in Japan I had to be divorced from my first wife before the Japanese authorities would accept the marriage.  This is really worrying me and I'm losing sleep over it all.

When my then fiance, now my wife filed for i-129f, she submited her divorce paper from 2nd and last marriage but USCIS sent an rfe requesting for prove of divorce from the first marriage. We are at the stage of AOS now and I intend to include the two despite the fact that we are married.  I hope someone with similar experience will answer your question. If not, you can take the chance since you can't get it, you may or may not get rfe but I doubt they will overlook it assuming you didn't go through k1 process.  Even if you are adjusting from k1, to avoid delay and rfe, its advisable to include the two. Try to see if you can get the divorce paper from Japan while waiting for your AOS approval.
