K1 Visa In Hand - Driving to the US - Question About Bring Belongings Over

Hey Everyone...

My Canadian fiance is moving to the US with her K1 Visa.  We will be driving into the US and crossing at the Blaine POE in Washington State from Vancouver BC.

I have a pick up truck and are packing her belongings.

As recommended by other VJ members, we have made a contents lists of her moving boxes.  Her stuff consists mostly of clothes, books, a dining table, and a couple clothing dressers.

Are there any forms or anything else we need to be aware of when it comes to bringing over her belongings?

Thank you everyone in advance.  Its hard to believe this day is finally here for us!

As long as she is accompanying her belonging she doesn't need more than a list.  Is she importing a vehicle or cash over 10k?

Hey hey... thanks for the reply.

We just crossed a few hours ago with no issues.  The CBP officers were super friendly and the process was quick and easy.

I'm going to write a review of our experience.  Also, thank you again for all your advice in this and many other VJ posts related to Canada immigration.  You are an asset to this community.

What do you need to do if you’re driving over a vehicle? Do you need any specific paperwork.

My fiancé will be driving over in two weeks with his car from Canada.

Any help on what paperwork he will need?

Thank you in advance

Check the domicile thread.  Pretty much if he owes on the car, he doesn't actually OWN the car and can't import it.  Sometimes you can get a loan in the USA and pay off the Canadian loan with that.  Generally speakings it's better to sell the car and buy a new one.
