You can have both petitions out there concurrently and then proceed with a visa for whichever one gets approved first. The F2B case is likely to become current in 1 year. Your husband's petition is probably going to become current about 5-6 months after that.

The F2b case is void when you got married.  USCIS and the NVC will continue the case unaware that you are married.  You do not have to do anything.  If you do not contact them, they will eventually close the case.  If you want to, have the petitioner write the NVC and withdraw the case.

 

The F2b case will not affect your F2a case.

Wow, yes that's correct. I don't really have an excuse there except a brain fart. F2B was voided once you married.

 

You do not need to contact them, but the petitioner can do so if they choose. It will not negatively impact your F2A case.
