Hi, I would like to file my application two months later, I'm in HK and my fiancé live in US. We met at Jan 2016 and then we designed to marry recently. We are planning to get marry on April 2018 in SF. Will the USCIS reject my application since we just dated around a year?

Thanks!!!

While one of the K1 requirements is to meet once in 2 years, you also have to prove the relationship is bona fide, meaning, the relationship is real. You will need proof of an ongoing relationship such as pictures, boarding passes, passport stamps just to name a few examples.

Remember, it's one thing to get approved by USCIS, it's another thing to get approved by the Consulate.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Hi Lishk, I think you got confuse about 2 years rule. The rule is you need to meet at least once within 2 years before the date you filed the petition. It is not you need to be dated 2 years before filing the petition. You will be fine as long as you can show lots of relationship proof. So that they can sure that your relationship is real and not a fraud! Good luck! :D
