Wifey gets edibles from the dispensary, they have some good stuff there. Mint thins, cheese crackers(almost like cheezits), chocolates, brownies, molasses cookies, you name it. Expensive though...smoking is alot cheaper.

This is an honest question.  How do they monitor, control and communicate the amount of cannabis et. al. in the edibles?  I heard this was an issue in Colorado when they legalized with no control over edible items and one complete cookie, or brownie potentially very dangerous to an adult and potentially fatal to children.  I know it has been some time since CO legalized, and I haven't really followed the stories since, but this discussion has sparked my curiosity.

I wonder that too, although I've not been to CO since they legalized so I couldn't say. I will point out that humans cannot consume (whether ingesting, inhaling, or even intravenously) enough marijuana that would kill themselves unless it was laced with some other chemical(s), or perhaps smoked and caused some severe respiratory or heart issues, which wouldn't be related to the marijuana's THC component.

I'm not quite sure how they actually control it, but as far as communicating it has a label on it just like any other consumable product with all the info you need. It comes in pretty fancy packaging and has to be kept in a locked bag.
