Dear all,

Has anyone dealt with direct consular filing while living in Switzerland?  It seems an application would be sent to Frankfurt, but the embassy in Bern will not confirm if that is the case and if someone in Switzerland is eligible for it.

Additionally, is one only eligible in the event of an internal job transfer or is relocating to the US for a new job also permissible?

Thank you in advance for any insight!

Best regards,

David

DCF is not offered in Switzerland. You only can use DCF if you reside in the same country as a USCIS foreign office (i.e. Germany)

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Dear @Mark88,

Thank you.  I was under the impression that Switzerland would send items to Germany, as they do for other matters with regards to immigration and social security, in this situation.  If I am out of luck, then I must submit the I-130 to Chicago?

Thank you again,

David

K1 and I-130 go by post to chicago and then out to a center, if you are lucky you win the lottery and get Nebraska ..... a joke.

You could try to expedite for a good reason at USCIS if it is really urgent.

File allocation to a center is a mystery, like the enigma code, a few do crack it, the rest wallow around marooned in Nebraska in ignorance!
