So the illegal husband is going to return to the USA with your car and you not in it? I wouldn't be too worried about that box of clothes

I so don't understand how this situation is going to be OK by the embassy...

Easy - they are going to lie and pretend he was never in the U.S.

Are they? Or are they filing a waiver? Isn't it sort of against TOS to help this person with, well, anything?

There seems to be some confusion as to what is happening, no we are not lying or doing anything shady this is how it is.....

my husband entered illegally before we ever met or married,

we met and married

started the paperwork process k3 visa and I129 and all others

paperwork accepted

have to go to an apt in CDJ to apply for a green card

will fill out a I601 waiver and have info pass apt

I will fly back to the US alone

my husband will wait for his green card in Mexico then return when granted

We have to go to CDJ, we are going to drive, is it hard to take your vehicle into Mexico, also can we take a big box of clothes and stuff like that to give to my husband's mother once we get into Mexico or will Immigration go all thru it and delay the process of entering Mexico? Thanks for your help, oh the vehicle is registered to me, and I will be with him to go into Mexico, but coming back into the US I will not be with my husband, will he have a hard time entering the country with a vehicle that is not listed under his name?

Me and my husband drove to Mexico for his appt. in juarez in oct.2006. After you cross the boarder there's like a secound boarder thing where you have to register your vehicle (it can't be missed big sign register forien vihicles, road block kinda like toll, boarder place). You or the persons name on title or registration has to go in. They wouldn't except my registration cause they evidently never seen one from TN (go figure). After trying to convince them it was recent with no luck they excepted one I luckally had from God knows when. "BUT REALLY HELPFULL IF YOU JUST BRING TITLE" ALSO NEED 2 FORMS OF ID. They offer I may be wrong on this but I think it was 3 month temparary Insurance since yours no matter what you have is no longer valied after crossing boarder. They will give you a sticker to put on your car thats vailed for 6 months. All costed us $200-$250. It may vary depending on where your going to we went to Guanajuato,MX. Also stayed past sticker date and only place to get them is at boarder places. They say if its expired and you get pulled over they could take your vehicle. Thank god on the way back no one said anything just at the check posts they asked where we were from and basically were looking for drugs or guns.

We had the blazer crampacked with ####### cloths ect cause we thought we were going to be there 6 months (ha wish now 7months and waiting). They didn't check anything entering in to mexico didn't even stop us.

When you redister your vehicle you may want to ask them on if he'll have trouble driving it home. Maybe they can give him something paper or something saying its alright for him to drive it. Cause again they say if someone other than you(in your name) is driving an pulled over if your not in the vehicle it can be took away.

If only travaling to Juarez if his mom ect. lives in Juarez you may have to ask how to find the register place case its after leaving Juarez going deeper into Mexico.

Sorry so long Hope this has some

Pamie, after reading these nasty, misinformed comments, I imagine you've learned your lesson about posting about your situation in a general forum! I'd try the Juarez consulate thread for these kinds of questions.

Many people there understand the I601 and are not going to make disparaging comments about you because of their ignorance of the waiver process.

In post #14 she clearly states her husband is illegal. Maybe you should read the whole thread before spouting off.

Her husband WAS illegal. She went through the entire process to make him legal. Now he has his visa (approved last week) and they are already back home in the US.

Get over it.

We figured that out as the thread went on but comments were made on limited information.

I didn't revive the thread so don't get your panties in a wad.

Yes, I knew that he was illegal. Did you not see my mention of the waiver in my post? I knew that's what she was talking about and was objecting to comments about their lying at the consulate.

Yep, I read the thread before spouting off.
