I don't think it is very different from the OPs premise that the home buyers will be paying the higher price.  You are absolutely correct that corporations will do as much as they can to reduce their corporate tax bill, and quite honestly they should, but whatever the number that ends up being tax is also paid for by the consumers.  So if the government follows Bernie Sanders' idea regarding raising taxes on corporation, we the consumers will pay for it in the end, so it is just a hidden tax on the masses.

I cannot dispute that..only to say that one is a direct and even driver that increases the COGS for everyone, the tax on corporate earnings just depends...but in the final analysis taxes is a cost of doing business that gets passed downstream.

On the other hand direct reductions in taxes to individuals is even better because that is money in the consumers pocket and the increased product cost will "feel" less painful.

I could eat every Toblerone bar exported to the states, that's some good chocolate!

ETA: I didn't know that Toblerone has been owned by a US company since 1990.

Thanks Teddy, you just ruined my romantic image of wholesome Swiss maidens making those yummy confections.

I'll send you a pick of myself eating a Toblerone while wearing a mankini, that should help you feel better.

If you could dribble and drool a bit of the show-caw-la onto your chest that would be awesome.

Guess I'll be getting the husband to buy up the lumber we need for our project sooner rather than later. Belgium?! What on earth does Delaware get from Belgium?

I agree. I'm making a push to have mankinis be accepted everyday wear for men all over the world.

Having worked at Google's HQ, I honestly think you could pitch this to Sergey Brin. He always rode to work on a Segway in pajamas and having bed hair. Just substitute the pajamas with mankini and you're set.
