Hello. I will try to make this short.

05/27/2011 - Received my GREEN CARD

09/17/2011 - 04/23/2012 - 7 months and 7 days outside US (school in PH)

05/26/2012 - 04/24/2013 - 11 months outside US (school in PH)

During the time I was in the PH, my family continued to work and live in the US. I have a re-entry permit but never used it and wasn't required from me in the airport immigration because I wasn't out of the US for more than a year in one trip. From April 24, 2013 onwards, I lived and worked permanently in the US and had four trips to PH:

05/17/2013 - 06/13/2013 (28 days)

08/09/2014 - 09/01/2014 (24 days)

12/28/2014 - 01/16/2015 (20 days)

02/09/2016 - 03/16/2016 (37 days)

Am I eligible for the 4 years and 1 day rule (meaning by April 2017, I can apply) or do I have to wait for the exact 5 years, April 2018? Thanks.

PS. I also read somewhere that you are not eligible for the 4 years and 1 day if you left before a year after receiving your GC? Please enlighten me. Thank you!
