Dear EveryOne:

Our case is completed on Jan 30th.:D:star: B)

Just wanted to share this joy with you all.

Got 2 Qs though now and appreciate if kindly you help me with:

1. So how soon they will send the case to the embassy now?

2. Will I receive any letter from NVC about case complete and sent to embassy or will my husband in India recieve that or will we both receive such letter?

Thanks :)

You should get a letter saying the case is being sent to India. Then all correspondence from now on will go to your husband. Once the case completes they send a copy via a transmittal cable. Then the hard copy goes to the embassy. Once at the embassy they match the cable copy with the hard copy. After this they will send out the next packet. Good luck.

Your case should be sent to India next Im assuming. You should be able to call and they can tell you what they have did instead of waiting for the mail. And if your doing CR-1 like I am the NVC I believe schedules all CR-1/IR-1 interviews. But I have had my case since 01/13/06 and my case is still at the NVC. I hope they send it soon.

congrats... I am waiting for mine to be compleated..

shonjaved what step are you on at the NVC? I thought for some reason your case was complete already. I was shocked how fast they completed my case after a RFE. Only two days that was fast for them. Hope you get your case complete soon best of luck!

Thank u everyone for your kind support and congrats to you all too.

Yes, I am CR1 case. Does NVC schedule interviews for India? Hope so, as I think NVC is faster than the embassy.

Good luck and I wish that u get visa this time.

I was just told by someone just cause your case is complete at NVC does not mean you will get a interview. Something about they still have to approve your case then the will send it to the right consular!! I hope not im so sick of waiting this all I have done I just want to see my husband!

Jenneih, that is not right what you heard. "Case complete" at NVC means that they got everything they wanted and the case is ready to be sent to the consulate. The case gets approved at USCIS and NVC does not have the authority to disapprove it as far as you provide them with all the necessary documentation they ask for. NVC only gathers all the supporting documents and once every thing is complete they will send it to the consulate and then at the consulate they review it again and they will for sure should give u an interview date before any decision is made. So approving part is done by USCIS and then later by the embassy officers, not the NVC.

All the best to u all and myself for the rest of our journey.

shonjavedWow that is horrible! They think of any reason to deny people. How long have you been in AR for? I think one good thing my husband and I have is how long we have known eachother. And it took us many years to be more then friends. I just think they will have a hard time proving our relationship isnt for real.
