You do not volunteer any information to the consular officer unless asked. What do you mean by your fiance did not include in the package? What did he not include?

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Well, if you apply for a K1 visa, USCIS and the embassy know that the K1 visa is the fiance visa. You dont' have to tell them.

You have to include a written, dated and signed letter of intent of marriage (you write one and your US-fiance) -> put both letters in the application package

When your visa was processed at the NVC and will be send to the US embassy in your home country, you have to send them an updated letter of intent( you only have to renew the dates on both letters).

www.visajourney.com -> guides -> immigration guides -> K1 fiance visa guide

www.visajouney.com -> guides -> example immigration forms -> K1 visa example forms. You can copy and paste the letter of intend and file in your name, address and date.

They won't ask you if you are engaged.

You HAVE TO include a letter of intend from you and your fiance.

Yeap, exactly what @Becci391 said. I-129F is a petition for an alien fiancee. K-1 is a fiance visa. The respective officers would assume that you are both engaged hence your applications for the petition and visa.

There is also absolutely no need to tell them about the ring or formal engagement announcement unless they asked. If they ask do you have a ring, just say no because your fiance would like to pick one out together with you or whatever your reason is. If they ask if you have announced your engagement formally, just say that you have informed your family and friends. All that should suffice.

Yes we both have a letter of intent.. For just incase they aske me im just confused

Believe me, they won't ask you if you are engaged.

You filed the K1 visa application and you submitted two letters of intent.

Having pictures taken of the engagement or the engagement ring is just additional. We did not submit pictures of our engagement part or my ring and the application got approved.
