At this point your case will be sent back to the NVC, eventually your petitioner (Spouse) will receive a NOIR letter, which she will need to respond to within 30 days

It may be helpful in this case to have your spouse perform further inquiry to determine what the exact status of your case is and try to determine why it is being returned

Sounds like what you said, they have denied the visa. You need to figure out exactly why it was denied. Whether they did not believe the marriage was legit, or are there other red flags?

What country are you in? If there something not "culturally normal" about your marriage?

The petitioner can ask do an FOIA to see if they can find out if you have no specific information.

Sounds like the petitioner may have to withdraw the petition and refile.... but again you need to figure out why it was denied....

They possibly can try to appeal; but from what I have heard it's expensive, takes a long time, and generally is not worth it.

i'm from algeria

Hard to say. You need to find out more specific information as to what it was denied/returned.

Again are their red flags? Large age differences, religious differences, things of that nature that could be seen as not "normal" for your country. These are things that the embassy considers when looking at these cases.

Then something else is was definately an issue. You and your spouse need to review how the interview itself went and then try requesting further information.
