Ontario Marriage Certificate

Hi all, 

I've read a few threads on this topic and it's a bit confusing. 

In Ontario, you can get 2 different types of certificates. 

1) Large certificate or 'full size' certificate 

2) Small or 'short form' certificate 


When submitting a copy of the needed "Marriage certificate" with the I-130 form, do I need both or can the 'full size' be enough? 
Has anybody  submitted the full-size certificate and it be fine with them? 

On this website it's saying the 'full size' is the legit one to use

I'm so frustrated because it isn't clear. I have the 'full-size' but didn't realize I needed the 'short form' so I didn't order it.

I'm sorry, maybe I missed something. Why do you think that you need the "short form"? The "short form"should just be an abbreviated version. Therefore the "long form" should have plenty of information.

hey EG&XY, the 'short form' looks like an actual certificate (With an actual border like a diploma or something) whereas the "long form" is a longer piece of paper that looks more like a license 

I wanted to see if anyone submitted just this 'long form' and it worked out for them.

Ontario: Applicants should obtain "large" certificates or certified copies of a registration from the Office of the Registrar General in Toronto (Macdonald Block, 900 Bay Street, second floor, tel: 416-325-8305) or at Ontario Land Registry Offices and Government Information Centers located throughout the province. Further information, including locations and information on ordering by mail is available online.
Note: For marriages in Ontario, the certificate torn off the marriage license and given to the couple at the conclusion of the ceremony confirms that the marriage took place, but is not a legal document. Applicants must obtain a marriage certificate or certified copy of marriage record from the Office of the Registrar General.

That's what I thought and I read that as well. Just wanted to hear from anyone who went through a similar process as I am in now

I understand that, but if the "long form" is an official document, why would you think that you would need to submit a shorter (potentially unofficial) document. That was my question.
