I received green card yesterday which is valid for 2 years. I am interested to know regarding removing conditions on CR1 visa after 2 years. Anyone knows what happens after expiry of 2 years. Will I get another green card? What will be its validity and when can I apply for citizenship. Also, I would like to be prepared in advance what things USCIS/US Government checks for these 2 years such as proof of living together with spouse, paying taxes, insurances etc to be able to extend green card?

Nice! Congrats! Honestly when in doubt read the instructions for I-751 at uscis.gov. Most of the information you are asking for is already out there; either on this forum or on the official gov't website which I am constantly looking at it to make sure I understand the process and filling out the form when our time comes next year.

 

Another green card won't automatically come; you must go through the removal of conditions process. This is taken straight from the instructions found at uscis.gov:

Effect of not filing. If this petition is not filed, you will automatically lose your permanent resident status two years from the date on which you were granted conditional status. You will then become removable from the United States

Stuff to send in with the form is not only proof of living together but also shared finances (which show trust between the spouses I suppose). Read more here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/751guide

You can file for citizenship 90 days before the 3rd year anniversary of your green card based on your marriage to a US citizen

 

Start collecting statements etc. now so you don't have to chase them down when it comes time to file ROC
