case status update date changed - AP

hello everyone,

my case is currently on AP status and the embassy have received the additional documents 6 days ago. Today my status update date changed from February 15 to March 16. what does it mean? i hope somebody can enlighten me.

I means someone has finally opened your case file.  Every time there is a date change someone has accessed your file.   Could be just the person adding the requested documents to the file, or it is being reviewed also.

 

Now for a little more patience... :)

Someone has touched your file, which is a good thing as your case is moving. Nothing to worry about. Most that get to where you are get a final approval. Patience and more Patience is needed on your part.

im actually hopeful that they will issue my visa within 2 weeks just like what happened to some poeple who posted their timeline. so  I really hope that next week will bring a good news. but if not, i guess i got no other choice but to wait and follow-up.

updated date changed to todays date.. but still in AP. maybe next week will be issued.. i can only hope

Thanks. I really hope they will keep the good news coming this coming week.They don't work on weekends right? I should not expect any developments through the weekends though. will keep you uodated.. :)

There will not be any updates on the weekends for your process. So relax, spend time with family and friends before you leave for USA. BTW, don't buy your airline tickets till your visa is physically in your hands.

I understand Greenbaum, Thanks. I'm so gonna buy a ticket once i get my visa. heheh.

i just got an email today.  it says that they received the documents on 03/17 and is forwarded to a consular officer for review. although it was received at the embassy on 03/10.

Timeline

The embassy receiving the document (which there has to be hundreds of documents daily)  is different than the document being mated up with your case file.

 

Patience still prevails.

hello everyone!

 

I am very happy to say that they finally issued my visa today! I was so surprised when i saw the status update.  Now i just have to wait for 7-10 days to receive my passport and the packet.. Thank God!

 

Should I post here my timeline? from my interview date up to when i get my passport?
