I am Canadian citizen to applying I-485 in US

As a initial evidence, I have to show I entered US legally. I entered US by land , so they didn't put any stamp on my passport. What else document I can show to prove the legal entry?

Thank you.

Did you have a visa when you entered?  For instance a copy of the K1 visa and I-94 shows legal entrance.

If you entered on VWP, you really don't have any way to show your legal entrance because they don't stamp or issue and I-94.

The only other thing I can think of is to visit a deferred inspection site and see if it's in their internal records and if they can provide something to you.

(I frequently crossed via land every other week before my K1 was approved and I had a difficult time indicating dates in which I was present in the states)

Have you tried to pull up your I94 on the website?

I-94 must be completed anyone entering US except US citizens, permanent residents, and Canadian citizens visiting. This means Canadian citizens don't have to.

While you're not obligated to file an i94 like others, your entrance might be very well recorded in the i94 system. I would give it a shot if I were you. You can select a Canadian Passport in the dropdown menu on the I94 website ;-)

Thank you for your reply.

To retrieve my record, do I have to pay to apply?

Not at all - go on this page: http://i94.cbp.dhs.gov

Select "Retrieve i94"

Fill out the form

and then you will see if anything was recorded on it.

Please keep us posted as I am curious if Canadian citizens have their entrances/departures recorded in the system (I believe so)

Typically they don't.  I was trying to pull records of all the dates I had been in the US for my DS160 and the i94 website didn't record anything in the 5 years of regular travel :-/

I found out I can see the record of entry made by air. I cannot see any travel record made by land.

So you entered by land on VWP or did you have a visa?
