my sponsor  (my wife ) can't sponsor me so we got a co sponsor (her dad)

my co sponsor provided us with his 3 yrs w2's and 1040's,but my wife can only provide us with 2016 w2 and 1040 but not the 2014 and 2015 ones

the qstion is,can the uscis ask us for her 2014 and 2015 w2's and 1040's or as long as we have our co sponsor with all required papers so thats what matters the most ? like they would focus on our co sponsor's eligibility more than my sponsor

if you are sending it now, the most recent tax is 2015,

if you send it after April 15th when tax season is over, the most recent tax will be 2016

if she wasn't required to file taxes for previous years, she must attach a letter explaining why
