Family Green Card different renewal dates?

Hello,

 

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about my green card that I got under my parents.

 

So I am currently 23 years old and it says on the card that I've been a permanent resident since 12/31/2008. My family and I applied for the green card at the same time. (At the time, I was a minor so my parents filed it and everything) However, it is almost time to renew my green card but I have couple of concerns regarding them.

 

First of all, all my family member have different dates of expiration dates and different dates of 'resident since' as well. I know that couple of permanent resident cards expire after ten years. However, my green card says that mine expires in 3/XX/2020. I was wondering if this is the right dates to follow the renewal.

 

Lastly, I have a misdemeanor charge that I got from 2016, last year, for DUI. I have researched about this and couple of people say that green card renewal will be harder because of this and others say it will not matter as long as its not a felony. Since now that the president is Donald Trump, I am aware of that dealing with all of these immigrant issues will be a lot harder that it was before. And plus, since I have a red mark on my background, it will be a lot harder than just normal people. Will I be MUCH affected/impacted because of the misdemeanor record on my file a year ago because of our new president?

As far as we know now, 45s immigration rules are focusing on undocumented immigrants with criminal records. You are a legal permanent resident, so that shouldn't affect you. Are you applying for citizenship (naturalization) or just a renewal of your green card?

I'm applying to renew my green card.

 

Unfortunately, I got arrested two weeks before the interview for naturalization.. So I had to withdraw from it.

If you're concerned about whether or not the date on your green card is correct, I'd try to contact USCIS to inquire. It's probably correct... Apparently there are age restrictions that would have required your folks to renew your green cards at different times.

If the expiration date is correct then you can apply 6 months before your current card expires. You may be called for an interview because of your arrest, but hopefully one blemish on your record won't hurt you too much, especially if you can prove that it was a stupid, youthful mistake that you deeply regret.
