Added myself to the list. Not sure what happened to the formatting :( 

 

My wife's timeline is exactly the same as mine, we sent on the same day but in different envelopes. Also, it looks super similar to SIO05's timeline, we even had interviews on the same day. 

 

The interviews went fine, nothing special but the fact that we both were asked to provide passport photos by different IOs. It may have something to do with the name change we requested. So, bring the photos, just in case, it may save you time and you won't need to worry about it on the day of your interview.

@sio05 Thank you for updating the chart. Unfortunately, no, we do not have any kids. We were sitting close to the window #7. I think our overlap was actually minimal as you mentioned your scheduled time was 1045am and you had your interview around 0130pm. Ours was scheduled for 0145pm and we arrived around 0120pm. As you mentioned, they were running way behind on scheduled interview time. We waited for about two hours after scheduled time for ours and stayed late to take passport photos, sign them, return them and get our Oath ceremony scheduled. The ask for photos was unexpected and was a major setback. Thanks God we were allowed and able to produce them the same day. We were also advised that our cases would be put on hold (no action) because of missing photos. So, again, March filers, take these photos with you, just in case. $15 saved just not worth it. If you plan to apply for a passport and nobody asks for them at the interview, you'll be able use them.

 

According to my co-workers that went through the same procedure recently, such wait times are expected from Boston FO. I was told it could take about four hours on the day of the interview to wrap it up. However, looking at the pace Boston FO processes such cases, they start looking like heroes to us :) You could tell by the faces of IOs, they were pretty tired closer to the EOD. From what I heard and witnessed myself, it's pretty typical for this FO to schedule Oath Ceremony and give you a letter with the date on the day of your interview. I was asked if I wanted to wait for the letter with the date in the office or get it by US mail as we were getting close to like 5pm at that time, I chose the former, of course.

Hello March fellow March 2017 filers,

I would really suggest you guys don't pay no mind to the processing dates posted on USCIS website, based on my wife's experience. It all depends on how fast your field office processes your application. She applied based on the 3 years eligibility and:

PD was 03/13

FP was done 04/07

Interview scheduled 05/22

Interview date 06/29

She passed and now we're waiting on the oath letter.

When we first applied back in March, our field office was processing June 2016 n400 application according to the USCIS website.As of today, the site is saying that they are processing n400 applications from December 2016. I know the process can be a little nerve-wracking, having been through it myself a few years ago. But just be patient and and everything will be ok. Good luck to everyone.

OK! We were sitting close to each other. I was by window 8. I'm surprised they asked for photos because they didn't ask me for photos. This is just weird. Either you want photos from everyone or no one at all. I don't get it. I'm glad you were able to get the photos though and everything done on the same day. It's good to know that this FO does the same day oath ceremony scheduling.

Hi all.

 

As you may recall there was a family emergency that I mentioned a while ago and sadly I had a phone call on Wednesday June 14th that my father only had hours left to live.

 

We battled with the airline company to get our flights moved and due to bad weather in the mid west that evening all flights out of Chicago were fully or over booked. and no way to get out of the states for 24 hours at least. We ended up going to Chicago O'hare on Thursday with no flight and a hastily packed bag with wife in tow to see if we could beg the desk staff for some help.

 

The BA staff in Chicago were amazing and pulled some serious strings to get us on the next flight and were on board just before the door closed. In less than an hour we were airborne. while we flew my dad slipped into unctuousness. We landed in London at 8 am Friday morning and after grabbing a rental we high tailed it up the M40 to the Birmingham Queen Elizabeth II hospital and arrived at 11:40. My wife and I were able to be by his side for around 7 hours before he peacefully passed away.

 

After getting the funeral arranged and doing a lot of running around to get his estate in order. We traveled back to the states on Saturday. And my passing through immigration on my British passport and green card were of no issue. The border guard did some extra checks and offered his condolences when he asked as to the reason for the trip.

 

So to my question.... As my Naturalization Oath Ceremony is in a week's time ( July 11th ) the N-445 form asks the question "Since your interview, have you traveled outside of the united states". I obviously have to answer yes. but it also stipulates "Bring Documents to support your answers" and gives examples for marriage or military but nothing related to travel.  

 

Should I bring boarding passes ? itinerary emails ? I have a copy of my fathers death certificate if need be. as well as information from the funeral directors we used as well as flower orders etc. 

how much information is too much ? should I take it all ? I am just not sure how deep they will want to go into this.

 

Any information you can offer will be of great help.

My condolences. I am so sorry. I've lost my Dad almost two years ago and it was the most difficult year in my life ...

   no, you should not bring any boarding passes just extra page for that page with your travels outside the country with this flights  mentioned and please add the number of your days out of the country and increase the number of your trips... that's it. Do not worry. I can imagine how nervous and sad was your trip to and back. I am sorry again....
