Question about evidence for I751

Hey Guys/Gals,

Questions..

I know for evidence one should put "proofs or mortgages in same name or rental property leases". We bought our house together in cash, so we have no mortgage nor rental agreements. House is in both our names. Would i just send proof of house being in our name or send proof of house being in our name plus an explanation that we own the house and have no mortgage?

 

Medical Insurances and Life Insurance proof.. we have NONE. for the better part of the past year of the two years my husband has been here on a CR1 I have been battling cancer. Found out after he got here that I had it. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a new medical or life insurance with my current health issues. Is this going to be a problem? 

 

We do have all our past two years taxes in our name, bank statements both checking and savings in our names, we own a house in our name, we own a company in our name (bought together since he's been here). Utility's in both names are tricky. Every time we have called Jea (electric, gas, water and sewer), Xfinity, T-mobile (his name is on a number in the phones section) they all say they only put the bills in one account holder name. 

 

Any advice would be great! Thank you all so much!

Do you have a copy of the deed?  We don't have a mortgage either.

Yes ma'am. I do have a copy of the deed that we will send in. I am just worried about the Medical and Life insurance. kNo one will accept me with cancer even at high rates ;( I have tried that. A far as utility bills, hes on there as being allowed to change stuff but not on account as main account holder. So it shows no where on bills. Most they could do was put him as a c/o in both our names under address but everything is online and no paper and online ones show nothing.

Just to name a few things I can think of off hand.. We have joint

House -  in both our names

Business - in both our names

Bank accounts savings/checking - both our names

2 years taxes - both our names. first year personal work, second year personal and our business.

Car insurance for 3 vehicles - in both our names

Sams Club membership - in both our names

Amazon Business Account

Id's both same addresses

School emergency contacts for 2 kids - both our names

Court Order changing my last name (got married in Netherlands they dont change the name. So i went to court for a name change)

PLENTY of picture Proof

Screen pics of business websites? Facebook? Instagram? Yelp? Twitter? Shows we both own it and says on them about him coming to america to be with his wife and wanting to open the business to bring his favorite foods to america for everyone to enjoy? 

Hmm trying to think of what else..

 

Maybe ask my team of cancer dr's to write a statement for me? For radiation it was 6 weeks straight daily and he was with me ALL days except one and dr seen him even cry that one day he had to leave me alone while he went to work.

Sounds to me like you have plenty of good quality evidence. In my case mortgage was in wife's name. We don't have any joint credit cards, loans or leases either.  And we have no joint utility bills My only advice would be explain clearly why you don't have things you think they might like to see. Keep it simple and to the point too. Oh and demonstrate it over the full two years. In the case of bank accounts I *really* didn't think they wanted to read two years of bank account but did send quarterly summaries so they could see the accounts being active over the entire two year period.

First, I pray that your health is and will be well!!  Second, it looks like you have a great amount of documentation to send in.  I don't think the insurance will be an issue.  You can explain in your cover letter why you are unable to obtain it.  Also, most utility companies do not put more than one name on the account.  I think they understand that.
