Hi all! Good news is I just got my approval notice after about 3.5 months. So glad the waiting is over with a good result. My question is what are the chances of a denial for any reason from here on out? I make well above the income level so no issues there. We talk on a daily basis and will prepare a fairly sizeable transcript showing this going back about a year and a half. She has no health concerns and has memorized everything on the petition. Do denials happen at this stage often?

i ask this question as she has been requested to give a 30 day notice to her job and the last thing I want is to have her end up with a denied visa and unemployed.

We can always have her put in the 30 day notice to her employer as soon as she has visa in hand, but not to sure how an addition 30 days might effect an already cramped timeline for getting her over here. Also mildly concerned should trump do anything in that timeframe that could interfere. She is coming from the Philippines and is not muslim btw.

Thanks in advance for everyone's input. It is greatly appreciated!

...Philippines is relatively simple embassy to process through. Do denial happen? Sure. The interview is where the really decide if the beneficiary gets a visa or not.

Just make sure as you said to prepare everything necessary and prepare for the interview.

Not knowing anything about your relationship or situation, I will just give you the generic advice which is to not make unchangeable plans for your departure before visa is in hand. I don't want to alarm you, but delays happen (denials also, but less frequently).

She will have six months to travel from the day of her medical exam, so there's plenty of time after the interview to quit her job, book tickets and pack her stuff up.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

as everyone said. Don't do anything definitive and life altering (quit job, book plane tickets, etc.) until you have the visa in hand. SO many things could happen that are impossible to predict. Not even terrible things like a visa denial or an invasive travel ban... it could be something as simple as internal problems at the embassy that delayed printing the visa. Or them losing your paperwork... If your case is straightforward, I'm sure it'll go smooth and be approved timely... but I still wouldn't risk it. Just wait until she has the visa approved before doing anything else.
