On form N400, part 9, question 1:

How many days (24 hours or longer) did you spend outside the United States during the last 5 year?

I am filling after being an LPR for 3 years and married to a US citizen.

  • Should I put the total numbers of days outside of the US including the time before I moved to the country?
  • Or the total number of days out of the country since I moved to the US?

Thanks!

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months

Just the trips (days) you did since you become a LPR

  • Or the total number of days out of the country since I moved to the US? NO. From the date you became a LPR, and you can easily find that date on your Greencard.

Thanks!

Easier if you complete Part 9 question 3 first... then total up the last column, and that's your total number of days.
