Delivered, but not received

We sent out I-129F package to TSC Fri 30th by USPS express. They tried to deliver it to TSC Mon 2nd of April at around 2 pm, but were unable to????? Is no one working in that place during normal office hours? Is it normal?

It's already April 4th, and still not received. :crying: Should we call to USPS and kick their butts, or is it something on the TSC end? I'd just like to know if this is normal, or something we should be concerned about. Your answers are much appreciated :)

I know that TSC picks up their mail early in the mornings, so the delivery on the 2nd would definitely not have worked. Why they didn't try again yesterday or today I don't know.

I'm sorry to hear that, but we got the same problem too. My fiance sent out ours on the 2nd, and they tried to deliver it on the 3rd, around 10am, and it was not recieved. So the status then was: Notice Left. I called USPS, and they told me they actually left a notice in the PO Box to tell them that they have a package left in their counter. What that counter is, I don't know. And so the next morning, on the 4th, around 5:46AM, a guy MS recieved our package.

If I were you, I'll call USPS to find out what's wrong. Coz they only hold it there for 5 days, and if delivery is still unsuccessful, they will return to sender. Good luck and hope everything turns out fine for you! :)

Thanks so much for the replies! We better call USPS first thing tomorrow morning! Funny thing that you pay for express service and then get it returned to you anyway :(

In any case, thanks for your help. I knew people at VJ would know what to do :)

rambaldi: Thank you, and Good luck to you too :)

Don't worry about this. I sent my package return receipt and the same thing happened. The USPS tried to deliver but I checked tracking and it said delivery attempt failed, (or something like that). The next day it was signed for and delivered. I think a lot of people here have this same problem; but all get delivered. GOOD LUCK!

Good news! :)

Now the wait begins!

I see this come up a lot and went through the same thing. I also got a failed delivery attempt notice and then it was picked up the next day. I hope some day VJ collects all these strange and potentially stressful little things about the process so that everyone knows what to expect from start of finish.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

You can always do a search of the site to look for threads that might contain your 'strange' situation.

Ewok just updated the search feature - its pretty useful!

I'm guessing, even assumed this before I mailed it, that they probably get a lot of packets, more than will fit in a PO box, so a notice is left in the box, and the packets are all in a much bigger box in the back room. Leaving a note in the PO. Box is the "attempted delivery".
