Old news.  things are starting to speed up again.

You can't fool me. One year 35 days into the wait time at VSC for our ROC approval seems things are NOT speeding up. Old news is still driving USCIS reality.

Serious.  Things have opened up in the past week.  5 couples have contacted me that their N-400 has finally started to move again.. they got interview dates.

ROC at VSC is crazy slow, but that has been that way for ages before they put on the brakes for the background checks.  We got ROC completed in under 4 months at CSC, a couple different friends waited almost 8 months and the other just short of a year at VSC

Why don't you file the N-400?  You have your NOA.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

At the infopass meeting we attended a month ago she said till ROC was completed they would not process the N400 and good be returned for later submission. Go figure. As we all know this process is a joke.

According to USCIS they are waiting for the background check to come back then we start moving again. Just a waiting game.

Well isn't a Catch-22!  So you have to receive the actual green card from ROC before you can slap the N-400 in the mail.. that suks big time.  I was always curious on that one. ;)

So you get the fun of waiting for VSC no matter.  Oh for joy~

The background check issue has been fixed, as things are in motion again.  Now to see how much longer you have to wait.
