You r right but the condition "if (USCIS) decides to let the petition continue" is next to impossible.  For my cousin petitioner died n NVC sent back file to USICS after date becane current , there after no News till 14 months even after our lawyer was following up. N then they just said No.

In our case, USCIS approved the substitute petitioner and sent the approved petition to NVC. We also received a letter from NVC of such.

in your case, did the NVC said no, after it was approved for substitute petitioner or was it never approved? If never approved,  then the facts are different from our case.

Hi Nilay Patel,
You may receive an email from the NVC to confirm in writing what the NVC person told you over the phone (Case completion email) this week or early next week. If you don't you should call them again. I am suspecting within the next two week you should receive your interview letter as Visa Numbers are available for your case at this time (VB for July is May 1st 2006)

Good Luck.

Hi gowire77.i received email from nvc saying all documents accepted and your case in visa que.in how many days i should expect visa interview email?for consulate mumbai,india.f3 visa.

thank you.

NVC will begin sending Interview Letter from the first day of the next month, for an interview in September.

You are expected to get IL from August 1, because your PD was current (April 19, 2006).

However, you should call them to ask your interview date from July 30, so you don't have to worry if they send IL late.

Hi Nilay,

I do agree with Triple28 , however, because your PD has become current a while back and a Visa Number may already be available to you .....I think you should be receiving your Interview Letter within the next two weeks.

USCIS notify that they will make a temporary retrogression in September for some categories.

Therefore, there will be no movement in September, the cut off date will be even backward.

But in October, the movement will be bigger because USCIS begins new fiscal year.

For anyone who has an interview in August and wants to re-schedule, you should attend the interview.

Because there is a chance that you will have to wait until after October for a new interview if you miss the interview in August.
