Thank you so much, May2006. I am so glad you mentioned this to me in advance, I thought the NVC will mail the package I sent in to them to Guyana. Now I know.

I found the link on the website, I will start sending these documents to them.

If you case was completed, and NVC said that you can bring any missing documents to the interview, please do as they asked.

Do not send any documents to NVC or they will postpone your case for reviewing again.

2 weeks before the interview, NVC will send your documents to the Consular in your country. However, in the interview, the Consular Officer may ask you to give them some documents which were submitted to NVC before.

Because your documents were lost during transport, or they need an updated version, or they want to check the original (birth certificate, police certificate).

That's why you should prepare all the documents which were sent to NVC before going to the interview, including the original and copies, as well as new police certificate if it was issued more than 1 year. So you can provide them when they ask.

PD 26 Sept 2006 Missed 2nd chart by 4 days :-(

we have two petitions (by mother and father) for the same beneficiary, same PD as they both were filed at the same time.

My father died after the petition was approved, so I became the substitute petitioner for him.

So, which petition should we pursue now? And why should we chose one over the other.
