Some of you have mentioned receiving a Usps tracking number for your green cards. Do you have to talk to a tier 2 in order to get it? Thanks.

If you subscribe to Informed Delivery at USPS it will show up automatically.

Yep... pretty much exactly the same as you except filed late January, and got case received on Feb 26 and March 5. We will probably be filing N-400 later this year as well. I will update the approved list later today so we can get a better idea of how many are left!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one and thanks for updating the list! Sure wish we could get transferred to VSC though...

28 people in our January filers forum including me, have got no update after the generic message of 'Your case was received at our local office', not message of case transferred to XXX service center.

We have to wait 3-4 more months I am guessing.

Hi, I got approved today. I am a January filer and my file got transferred to Nebraska on May 7th.

I have a question: I see many people applying for N400,  even before the I751 has finished processing. I know that N400 is the pathway for citizenship, but what is the benefit of citizenship compared to permanent residence, except for voting rights and being to able to work for certain government jobs? Or are most people doing this in the hopes that this would expedite their I751 processing (which we know is not the case by now)?

The fact that you need to pay higher fee when renewing the green card after 10 years or if you lost your green card.

They also increase the fee every year, so if you're US citizen, you can save many from that fee. Also, they prioritize application for you US citizen petitioner if you want to petition your relatives.

They are (finally) mostly done with September/October 2016 filers, the November/December 2016 filers are currently getting approved... so definitely hoping for more like 1-2 months, if we're lucky. But knowing USCIS... I wouldn't be surprised if we have to wait even longer.

I did check the case tracker app to look at other receipt numbers near mine, and almost none of them have any update after "received at local office" in February. A couple transfers, a few RFE and a few approvals. The waiting game continues.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for a while and I feel the frustrations of everyone with the process.  Same thing here, so far it was the longest process I've been thru since I started on this journey. I wanted to share my timeline after my case was approved last Wednesday June 13, 2018. I passed my application on January 19, 2017 and proceeded with bio on February 17, 2017.  I did my extension stamp on March 15, 2018. I'm from CSC initially. But my case was transferred to NSC on May 07, 2018. There's no interview and I didn't apply for citizenship. Now i'm waiting for my GC to arrived on mail. Hope to see more approval.

Congrats! My state of mind is beyond frustration. I filed almost 2 months before you did. Now I have to do everything I can to prevent myself from depression.

Wow, now I am more confused than ever. The USCIS website, I believe, says that you can apply for N400, even with I751 perding....as long as you meet the criteria. I guess it's just about waiting to see what happens. By the way, news from today, check this: https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/update-form-i-797-receipt-notices-form-i-751-and-form-i-829

Hi,

Thank you for the new rule link, are they going to send updated I 797 to all the ROC filers with pending I 751 or they only issue new I 797 to filers who filed after 6/11/2018?

Congratulations!!!

For some reasons, cases transferred to NSC on May 7th and 8th have been approved sooner than those transferred to NBC on May 3rd. Mine was transferred to NBC on May 3rd and I am still waiting. It is so frustrating!
