There are two categories of evidence that the USCIS accepts: primary and secondary. Primary evidence is required and considered more conclusive than secondary evidence, and is preferred. Affidavits fall under secondary evidence, so they are not required and are not considered as valuable of evidence as bank statements, joint registrations, titles and deeds, joint insurance policies, etc. which are examples of primary evidence.

It doesn't hurt at all to send it, but I would exhaust all possibilities under the primary evidence first before going to the secondary evidence list. Even photos fall under the secondary category, as many may not be aware. I am basing my response on the reminder letter we received early this month which gave clear guidelines regarding evidence taken into consideration.

Hi All,

I sent out my packet on 27th Jan at the CSC.

USPS delivered it on 28th Jan.

Waiting on the check to be cashed and NOA date.

Please also add me to the list.

sent the package on the 23rd and got the receipt on the 26th if I remember correctly. However the recept date in the receipt is the 24th. Patiently waiting for bio appointment like most of you!

Quoting from the link above: "The people affected by this order, we denied boarding to 721 travelers that had visas from the affected countries, but we actually processed for waivers 1,060 lawful permanent residents of the United States, as well as an additional 75 waivers granted to immigrant visa and nonimmigrant visa holders. To make sure everybody understands how the process is working today, lawful permanent residents and special immigrant visa holders are allowed to board their flights foreign and will be processed for a waiver upon arrival."

As cocolucho said, it seems like green card holders will not be affected. And all coverage so far addresses only the seven countries affected by the ban so for all other nationalities, travel should be normal as before.

Hi everyone,

I filed my I-751 form recently and had no clue there was a group for just us 751ers! I do have two quick questions for everyone over here though:

1. How can I add my name to the list of people who've applied in January; and

2. How long does it approximately take everyone to hear back from USCIS once the package gets delivered? I'm asking because I mailed my package on next day delivery through UPS on Saturday, January 28th and it was supposed to be delivered on Monday. UPS sent me a notification saying that the address i've entered is incorrect and that they corrected the address (eventhough the address I entered was exactly what's mentioned on their website). They did send me a notification saying that my package got delivered on Monday afternoon but I still haven't heard back from USCIS saying that they received my package. All those people on this group who received any such kind of notification from them, how long did it take and how did you receive it (was it an email?)
