Hello everyone

We have our k1 interview in less then 3 weeks and I don't have job because I quit to be with my fiance for 3 months. We're afraid we are gonna be denied because of this. Knowing I have 90 thousands dollars in the bank and a resident for us im hoping there is some solution for this mess.

Is your fiance filing an Affidavit of Support for you? Your finances don't come into it when applying for a K1 visa, as long as you have someone filing an I-134 (affidavit of support) you should be fine on the finances front.

Current income it's what's most important to show how you can sponsor and keep your fiancé/ future spouse from being a public charge. The money in the bank may be enough, so gather proof for that. But I believe it's still at the officers discretion to accep that or not

You may be able to use your assets. You will need to provide proof that you've had the money for at least 6-12 months and that it's not a sham loan to fool the US Embassy.

If you can not use your assets, then you need to get back to the US and get a job.
