Hey guys,

Just have a quick question. I am the petitioner for my wife and I am in the U.S. Navy. When it comes to supporting documents are they asking for my military records? If they are asking for my records what fulfills this request? My wife has no military records. I have been searching online but did not find anything that specifically said the NVC needed the petitioner's military records. Any help will be great. Thank you!

The NVC requires military records from beneficiaries if they ever served any time in any military. If your wife didn't, then there's nothing to send. Likewise prison records are required if beneficiaries have spent time in prison. But if they didn't, there's nothing to send. You mark it as "not applicable" on the NVC cover sheet.

They don't need your military records.

Ok thank you so much! Does this also apply to all the other supporting documents? Like do they need a copy of my passport and birth certificate, marriage terminations?

For the support documents they mean the affidavit of support, the I-864, and les statements. It's the financial support.

ONLY the beneficiary's documents like BCn divorce decrees, military records, police certificate etc are needed at the NVC.

Have you read our NVC process wiki?
