I just have a question about what language the interview will be conducted in.

My husband speaks English well, but he's not every confident about it. He's concerned that he won't have a choice and he's has to do the interview in English. When it's time for the interview, will he have the option to have a translator with him? If he has the choice to have a translator, will this be a red flag as the interviewer may think he can't communicate with me?

You should be able to have an option to do the interview in either English or his native language.

Just have to then be able to also prove you two communicate well in either of those languages or they may doubt your ability to communicate.

You will be asked in advance if you would like the interview in Urdu or English.

If your husband is shaky in his English then he should do the interview in Urdu.

In what language do you two communicate? And did you provide evidence to support this communication? If so then Urdu or English should not make much difference.

I attended the interview with my husband, and he opted to do the interview in English. I speak very little Urdu.

Now that I'm able to do. :)

In what language do you two communicate? And did you provide evidence to support this communication? If so then Urdu or English should not make much difference.

We communicate in English. I don't speak much Urdu either, but am learning.

I sent in some chat logs from Facebook and Skype, these days we mostly do voicecalls on Messenger and WhatsApp.
