I have chatted with my Vietnamese girlfriend online and video chatted with for on a daily basis morning and night for 8 months. I finally visited my Vietnamese girlfriend on 11/10 - 11/13 and gave her a engagement ring. For those days ,she stayed at my hotel and spent all day with me sight seeing and got to know each other and met her family. I have photos spent time with her and her family. I have Uber account with her profile that was created on her behalf and receipts showing places we went together. She doesn't have a credit card so my credit card was used for payment. We have exchanges gifts and she also gave gifts to take back to my family.

Is this enough time spent with her for K-1 petition requirement of proof of relationship? Do I need to make more visit to meet her in Vietnam for petition approval?

To file for the I-129 petition, that will suffice as to the meeting within the last two years. Also as long as you both are free to marry. Then you can file. Just make sure to supply boarding passes, copies of your passport showing entry/exit of the country, hotel receipts, credit card statements from there, ect..

I am not sure how "tough" the Vietnam Embassy is, but I might suggest visiting again during the processing of the petition.

Hopefully some of the other Vietnam members can chime in to help you.

Good luck!

VN is the opposite of the Phillipines, the VN embassy has high scrutiny where as PH barely has any. Have you filed already?

You'll meet the physical meeting requirement cause theres no minimum metric for times/lengths of meetings. But a weekend is arguably brief.

There are polls here but all countries are different. I understand how difficult it can be to get away, even in HI you're chopping several hours off the flight.

Did you have an engagement party??? I think that adds a lot of credence in VN.

Also is beyond stressed at difficult embassies to plan to attend interview with fiance even though you can't actively participate.

If you can front load your petition with as much as information as you can obtain such as telephone call logs, a very detailed meeting story and what led to the engagement I would not be concerned about all of this. The Consular officer will be looking for genuine signs of a relationships and pictures and other supporting material that shows you know her immediate family well and they know you will go a long way to showing that you have a genuine relationship.
