So we got married this week and I want to add her to my apartment lease where they do a background check on her. My concern is that 1) We haven't filed AOS just yet, 2) Her name on her main ID - passport - won't be the new one.

Any advice from those of you who might have gone through the same thing?

Best thing to do is contact you rental/leasing office and ask them how their process works.

If it's not possible you can add her to other things like utilities, bank account, credit cards, memberships, insurance, living will, etc.

I own my home. I'm not putting his name on the deed. So there are other ways to show bonafide marriage.

Why would you be concerned that you haven't filed AOS yet? she just got here and you just got married. I don't think it's mandatory for her to change her name on her passport immediately. I'm sure they understand you just got married.
