Once you get a "case complete" from the NVC, how long does it take them to send you the letter regarding your interview date for Kingston, Jamaica Embassy. If anyone knows that would be a big help. Thank you!

They are backlogged and unfortunately taking up to 6 months to schedule an interview! But it's been averaging 2-3 months...

Here's a spread sheet you can follow. Case complete to interview. Just search for the Jamaica ones and you can see what it's been like...

Taking up to 6 months for which category though. I believe the CR1 category gets a sooner interview.

No, I was talking about the CR1 visa. I just did the CR1 for my husband this year. I am now doing one for my stepson (that's what's on my timeline now)

Hi there! I believe it does depend on the category as to how long. In my case, and others I'm familiar with from following the threads, it's about 90 days from your CC. Ex: we got a case complete in July, then received an interview date when they started scheduling at the end of September for an interview in Nov.

A lot of your questions can be answered by looking at other timelines, the spreadsheet, and browsing back thru the JA portal threads. Also, if you do a timeline, it could help others coming along with you or behind you with similar questions. Each one teach one. This website helped us a BUNCH!!!!

I was told by a friend who recently came to the US that the petitioner schedules the interview date for the beneficiary in Jamaica and schedule medical appt 7-10 days prior to interview date. Here is a link you can follow http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Jamaica&cty=Kingstone, because there is a website you have to go on to schedule the interview I will find it for you and reply with another post. Hopes this helps!

Cr1/ir1 interview is scheduled by NVC. K-1 schedules their own interview. You are getting the two confused. The embassy portal gives info for both.

ok thanks for the clarification!
