Mr X man was married to Mrs Y woman

they divorced

Mr X man is now required to pay Mrs Y woman alimony(spousal support)

Mrs Y woman now decides to become Mr Z (man)

the husband doesnt want to continue to pay, should he have to pay the support to her/him??

Does a sex change operation actually change a person's legally defined sex? I know in Britain if you're born a woman, you're always a woman, no matter what form of surgery you have. Lets face it, a sex change is little more than cosmetic surgery. I have nothing against these operations, but I don't believe a woman who takes hormones and had her breasts removed is a man.

The first few weeks inside a mother's womb, the sex of a baby is undetermined. The reason, the X chromosome express itself first. Hence, all of us were female once. Then, after the first few weeks pass you can then have an ultrasound to determine the sex of the baby.

A female have a backup X chromosome. Whenever one is damaged, the other X chromosome will be used to guide the repairing of the original X chromosome. Natually, our body can repair improper gene encoding by initiating apoptosis. But, there's radiation within our atmosphere that cannot be controlled. Cosmic radiation enters the atmosphere, and about 1-5% of it reaches the surface of the earth depending on where you live. It will knock out the neutrons in your cell molecule which can cause cancer. Exactly.

That said I know someone who has had a female -> male sex change. You honestly wouldn't know that she's a "she". Of course, that's with clothes on. In fact nobody else I know that knew her, knew she was a woman. I knew her from a previous job, before the "op".

I remember after the Rene Richards tennis thingy they started making people take DNA tests to validate sex. I would just assume the courts would uphold the original decision for support. The world is really getting to be screwy

It does not cause genetic mutation. Over-exposure on the skin can cause cancer when the skin is very young. It's not that UV light causes mutation, it's more so that the skin burns underneath the sun. And over-exposure to it will lead to mutation.

If his legal case hinges on the idea that his wife is now a man, and that he can't pay alimony to a man, surely it is question a whether they are a man or woman?

Yes, sun burn can lead to cancer. My point was you seemed to be implying that Cosmic rays and UV radiation were the same thing in your original post, which is what I was correcting.
