I would like to take this short, brief time to thank everyone on Visa Journey through me and my wife's journey. We started the I-129F back in November of 2012. Today, finally , 10/21/2016, we have been notified that my wife's 10 year green card is in production.

Now if not for a few of the VJ'ers out there, we would still be sitting and waiting. Has been almost 8 months since they received our I-751 and someone suggested to contact USCIS seeing it was beyond the 6 month waiting time for CSC.

I did this and they said they would take the info to a Tier 1 officer. Guess what, the next day My Case Status was updated, on 10/21/16, saying my card is being produced. If not for the recommendation to contact USCIS, we would of probably still be waiting months before I would of done this. Thank you to that person, sorry cant remember their User Name.

Anyways from 12/20/2013 when we got married, and on 5/20/2014 she got her green card, and today, 10/21/2016 her card has been approved. I have lived watching Visa Journey for years now, and from the bottom of my heart want to thank all for the questions and for the responses, and for the answers everyone has been able to receive on this site.

Please, good luck to all. From receipt of our I-751 on 3/7/2016 till today, 10/21/2016 just a little under 8 months, so even though our journey and your journey seems to take forever, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck to all.

But, I probably will continue to utilize VJ because in a few months our final and last step will be the N-400, but, this will be much simpler, no documentation, no cohabitation, no joint this, no joint that. My wife speaks fluent english, reads english and writes english so her final journey to citizenship, I believe, will be much, much easier than the I-751 process.

Thank you again

Congratulations to both of you...Now bless the rest of us waiting to hear the good news.

If you are applying in 3 years for citizenship you will still need to provide "evidence that you and your spouse have lived in marital union for at least 3 years at the time you file your Form N-400. Such evidence may include:

(a) Joint bank and credit card statements;

(b) Leases or mortgages;

© Birth certificates of children;

(d) Insurance policies; and

(e) Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you and your spouse filed for the past 3 years (or an IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years)."
