Question about Police Certificate

I was born and am currently living in Canada.

Soon after birth, I went to Ireland and was there until I was 12 and then I went back to Canada.

My parents are respectively Canadian & Irish, and so I have both citizenships.

RapidVisa maintains that I still need police certificate from Ireland despite the fact that I was under 16 at the time I lived there, and every other Googled resource says "Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)".

Has this changed? Would anyone be able to shed any light on this? Getting police certificate from Ireland would delay my interview by a while, and so I don't want to do it if I don't need it.

Thank you so much.

Everything I've read is the same as you stated. Perhaps you may want to consider talking to a different person at RapidVisa.
